#EndBadGovernance: Immigration Officer Shots Self While Attempting To Disperse Protesters In Borno

An immigration officer on Thursday, accidentally shot himself thrice in the foot while barricading protesters in Borno State.

The situation according to Leadership, caused pandemonium in Bulunkutu area of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital where the incident happened.

The sound of the gunshots further provoked the protesters who went wild with the thought that one of them was shot but became calm on discovering the truth about the shooting.

The self-wounded officer was part of a security team deployed to disperse a crowd of protesters in the state capital, Maiduguri.

The officer, whose identity has not been disclosed, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, but his condition is currently unknown.
