#EndBadGovernance: Protesters Defy Tinubu’s Plea, Continue Demonstrations, Hold Church Service (Video)
Despite President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s call for an end to nationwide protests, demonstrators in Benin, Edo State, have continued their movement into its fourth day, holding firm to their demand for better governance.
The #EndBadGovernance protesters organized a church service on the road, symbolizing their commitment to peaceful demonstration and unity in their cause.
President Tinubu, in a nationwide broadcast, had appealed to protesters to cease their activities and engage in dialogue, emphasizing the need for national unity and the cessation of violence and destruction.
He expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and the damage to properties in various states, urging citizens to work together for a brighter future.
However, the protesters in Benin remain resolute. Gathering in large numbers, they held a peaceful church service on the road, singing hymns and praying for the nation.
One protester, Chinedu Obasi, shared, “We are here to show that our fight for justice and good governance is rooted in peace and faith. We respect our President, but we need real change, and we will not be silenced.”
