In line with its obligation for safe environment, Lagos State Waste Management Authority, in collaboration with Kick Against Indiscipline has closed down Ogba shopping mall over a filthy environment, and poor waste disposal, among other environmental violations.
The spokesperson for the state’s Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Kunle Adeshina, made this known on his X page on Sunday.
Kunle, while sharing photos from the exercise, wrote: “Operatives from the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) and KAI acting on the directives of HC MOE&WR on Sunday, November 5 sealed up the OGBA SHOPPING MALL beside Sunday Market.
“The mall was closed on accounts of filthy environment, Indiscriminate dumping of refuse, lack of waste bin and failure to comply with the rules of Lagos State Waste Management Authority.”
