Ex-Convict Arrested For Killing Girlfriend In Ondo
The Ondo State Police Command has arrested an ex-convict, Omokinwa Ademola, for allegedly killing his girlfriend, Joy Jimoh, during a dispute in Idanre.
The fight reportedly began after Ademola refused to refund ₦100,000 he borrowed from the deceased, leading to a violent altercation.
Police spokesperson, SP Ayanlade Olushola, said the incident occurred on October 7, 2025, during which the suspect allegedly beat Joy until she lost consciousness.
She was rushed to a hospital, where she was confirmed dead, while the DPO of Idanre led officers to arrest the suspect at the scene.
Commissioner of Police, CP Adebowale Lawal, condemned the act and ordered a full investigation by the State Criminal Investigation Department.
