At least 26 people have been killed and 18 more injured after an explosion rocked Afghan capital.
Afghan Interior Ministry’s spokesman Nusrat Rahimi disclosed this to Sputnik.
“Twenty-six people were killed, 18 more were injured as a result of a terrorist attack on those celebrating Nowruz in Kabul,” Rahimi said.
The blast occurred not far from the Ali Abad hospital and the area is currently cordoned off by the police, according to other local news outlets.
Earlier in the day, media reported that an explosion occurred next to the University of Kabul, leaving at least three dead and 10 people injured.
