A video clip quickly went viral, purportedly showing the moment Tekno fell off the stage after what appeared to be a severe seizure.
The footage sparked widespread concern among fans and followers across Nigeria, with many expressing deep worry for the singer’s well-being.

However, a conflicting report soon emerged, debunking the claims and clarifying that the individual in the video was not Tekno.

In a tweet posted on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Mr. Eazi clarified that the person in the viral video was not Tekno but rather a Kenyan rapper known as Prezzo.
He emphasized that Tekno was not in South Africa at the time the video was recorded.
Mr. Eazi further assured fans that Tekno was safe and sound, confirming that the singer was in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, far from the location where the incident supposedly took place.
The clarification from Mr. Eazi was soon echoed by well-known social media commentator and critic Daniel Regha, who also weighed in on the situation. Regha supported Mr. Eazi’s statement, confirming that the individual who collapsed on stage was indeed Prezzo, not Tekno.

An X user also commented on the post, confirming the false story. The user wrote,ย “You dey mind them! People go just dey spread fake news like bedspread. For the record guys, that’s not Tekno.
