Farmer Cuts Off Neighbour’s Wrist Over Sexual Affair With Wife

A farmer, Oro Umaru was on Thursday arraigned by the Kwara State Police Command at a magistrates’ court for allegedly cutting off the right wrist of his neighbour, Sanda Abubakar, who he alleged slept with his wife in Kaiama LGA.
OSUN DEFENDER gathered that the brother of the victim, Sanda Mohammed reported the incident.
The First Information Report reads in part: “You attacked and macheted the victim on his forehead and caught off his right wrist in the process while returning from Kara Market.
“You confessed that you were neighbours and had suspected the victim was having an affair with your wife, Fatima, having caught them on several occasions.
“You said he took to his heels when he sighted you coming while discussing with Fatima before you went and attacked him.”

The prosecutor, Gbenga Ayeni, urged the court to remand the defendant.
The Magistrate, Gbadeyan Kamson, ordered the remand of the suspect and adjourned the case to October 11, 2023.
