Father Kills Baby Girl With Poison Because He Prefers Male

Doka Baici, Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State, Misbahu Salisu, has allegedly killed his one-day-old baby girl with a local posion/insect killer (Otapiapia) because he preferred a baby boy.
According to the Board of Kano religious police, Hisbah, Salisu confessed that he killed the girl with the local poison.
A statement by the Deputy Commander General of the board, Operations, Dr Mujahid Aminudeen, stated that
Salisu confessed that he gave the baby the poison/local insect killer, Otapiapia after he had also drugged her mother with a cup of tea containing sleeping tablets.
“Salisu also drugged the mother of the baby, Sa’ade, with a cup of tea which contained sleeping tablets before carrying out the criminal act.
