There is palpable fear among women in Minna, Niger State after a female student of a secondary school claimed that her breasts allegedly disappeared after she greeted an old woman on her way home from school.
Resident told Daily Trust that the situation led to commotion between the police and youths of her area when the police went to pick the woman after a complaint was lodged by the girl’s family but youths from the woman’s area resisted her arrest.
It was said that the girl’s breasts were eventually returned.
“When I heard of the incident, I held my breasts. I prayed it doesn’t happen to me In sha Allah. We are in a state of fear now as breasts are the pride of every woman,” a woman said.
While some people held a contrary opinion of the possibility of stealing breasts, some said it was real.
“It is possible to steal breasts because there’s nothing human beings are not capable of nowadays. But May Allah save us from evil people among us,” Mallam Adamu Aliyu said.
The spokesperson of the Niger State Police Command, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, dispelled the rumour of theft of human parts and asked people to go about their normal businesses without fear.
