Federal Lawmaker Facilitates Palliative Repair Of Iwo-Osogbo Road
A member of the House of Representatives representing Iwo/Ayedire/Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency, Honourable Gafar Amere has facilitated the palliative repair of the Iwo-Osogbo road pending its total reconstruction by the government.
According to a statement by his spokesperson, Shola Kudaisi, the Federal Emergency Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) has subsequently been instructed and mobilised to move to site.
The road project, which cuts across the three local governments Amere represents in the National Assembly, according to the statement is part of the lawmaker’s constituency projects.
It read: “The decision was arrived at after it was discovered that the bad state of the road was affecting the people of his constituency mostly.
“The Honourable explained that good condition of the road would enhance economic and social activities of the people making use of the road.
“Honourable Amere further stated that the Federal Ministry of Works Officials had assured that work on Gbongan-Iwo-Oyo road would be intensified with the release of N380 million in the 2018 budget for the project.
“Amere called for special understanding of the people in the area for the execution of the two projects”, the statement read.
Nothing that the federal parliamentarian has always shown commitment to the welfare of the people of his constituency, the statement added that he has always been consistent in addressing issues that would have positive impacts on the lives of the people.
It added that job creation, empowerment of people, infrastructure development, education among others have been given adequate attention, with a view to making lives meaningful for the people of his federal constituency.
