President Muhammadu Buhari, in a bid to reinforce and better enhance the Services of the Civil Defence, Corrections, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), has approved and handed over letters of renewal of tenure to two Federal Commissioners of the Board, Alh. Ado Abdullahi Ja’afar and Maj. Gen. Emmanuel Bassey (rtd).
While presenting the letters to the Commissioners, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Dr. Shuaib Belgore, on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari, Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the Ministry and all its Agencies, congratulated them and charged them to ensure the smooth running of the activities of the Board for the benefits of all Nigerians.
He added that they should consider this tenure renewal as rare opportunity to do better in repositioning the Board for better performance, in line with the mandate of the Ministry.
“Your appointment is a testimony of the confidence and Trust reposed in you and you are expected to carry out your responsibilities with diligence and patriotism,” the letters read.
Belgore stressed that the Ministry would continue to discharge its duties creditably in line with its mandate of ensuring internal security, public safety and citizenship integrity of Nigerians.
