A Yoruba artist and film producer, Mrs. Folake Aremu has charged government at all levels to wage war against piracy in the movie industry so as to have rest of mind in the industry.

Mrs. Aremu popularly called Orisabunmi made this appeal in an interaction with Osun Defender at a function in Ile-Ife, State of Osun recently.

She frowned at the high level of destruction that piracy causes in film industry in Nigeria which is so worrisome and unbearable for film makers.

She urged the Censor Board to control the unethical element in the profession in order to sanitise the film industry.

She however advised government to curtail the activities of piracy for film makers to have profit in their choosing careers.

According to her, “the activities of pirates are too worrisome to talk about in film making because it berated the standard in the industry”.

“We spend a lot of money on film production and it will be bad for us not to have gain in our efforts”she added.

She advised the upcoming artist to be faithful and loyal during their ups and downs for the conscience to judge them positively in their works.

She also warned against ungodly dresses among the artist especially young ladies that wore such cloth in the name of fashion.

“However exposing someone bodily part, it does not speak well in film industry, it may tarnish someone image and future.

She said, “putting exposed cloths on in film making is bad and evil work, it does not glorify virtues and good characters of a person at all”.
