Fire Guts Nigerian Police Headquarters, Kano State

 

Fire blaze in police headquarters, Nasarawa local Government in Kano state. The fire incident started around 2.00 pm on Saturday was said to destroy many valuables worth millions of naira.

It was gathered the incident affected structures from the Provost’s office down to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police

The fire however spared the office of the newly posted State Commissioner of Police and the block of offices adjacent to his own office.

Several documents were believed to have been destroyed by the fire , said a witness who however added that there were no reports of injury or loss of life of any sort as a result of the accident.

The cause of the blaze could not be established as the Public Relations Officer of the state Fire Service and the Police spokesman, Abdullahi Harua kiyawa could not be reached for comment.

Similarly the Kano state police command spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa phone was switched off at the time of this report
