Fire Razes Shops In Osun, Destroys Properties
No fewer than six shops have been razed by fire in Lagere Junction in Ile Ife, Osun State.
Findings revealed that the fire started around 3am on Tuesday as residents and shop owners struggled to put it off.
The exact cause of the fire incident remains unclear, but sources told Osun Defender that the blaze started shortly after the electricity was restored by the power company.
Consequently, shops in the vicinity that had left their lights on before closing were engulfed in flames.

It was gathered that properties including phones, cloths, building materials, shoes and others were destroyed by the fire.
It was reported that the fire destroyed various properties, including phones, clothing, building materials, shoes, and other items.
As at the press time, residents and passersby had joined shop owners in efforts to extinguish the fire.
One of the shop owners, who wished to remain anonymous, shared with Osun Defender the devastating impact the fire has had on his livelihood.
With tears streaming down his face, he expressed his deep sorrow, saying, “This is a heartbreaking day for me. I had just purchased some shoes yesterday afternoon. Now, everything has been destroyed by the fire.”
