Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has nominated the former Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly, Chief Olayide Owolabi Adelami, as his deputy governor.
This is coming barely six hours after the dissolution of the Ondo State Executive Council by the state Governor.
The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan, confirmed the nomination of the deputy governor.
Adelami was a former governorship aspirant of the All Progressive Congress in 2020.
The name of the nominee has been forwarded by Aiyedatiwa to the state House of Assembly for ratification.
Adelami, from the Owo area of the state, retired from the National Assembly in April 2018.
