Former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the State of Osun, Barrister Kolapo Alimi has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His defection to the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which has been rumoured in the last three months, was made official by the Director General of the Ademola Adeleke campaign organisation, Mr. Sunday Bisi.
According to Bisi, Alimi is now the Deputy Director General of the campaign team.
Reports say, the former commissioner and his supporters are currently at Adeleke’s country home in Ede, where the official defection is holding.
