There was a minor disruption to the ongoing June 12 protest at the Old Garage area of Osogbo, Osun State, on Thursday, as a fight broke out during the procession.
Eyewitnesses said the altercation disrupted what had been a largely peaceful demonstration marking Nigeria’s Democracy Day.
The cause of the fight remains unclear at the time of filing this report.
However, residents were seen moving swiftly to the scene to restore order and prevent further escalation.
The protest was part of a nationwide mobilisation by Take It Back Movement demanding better governance, improved security, and economic relief.
