The immediate past Chairman of Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), labiyi Durojaiye, is dead.
It was gathered that he died in the wee hours of Tuesday in Lagos while receiving medical care for an undisclosed illness.
Durojaiye was elected Ogun East Senator in 1999 on the Alliance for Democracy (AD) platform.
It was learnt that the deceased will be remembered for his struggle during the days of National Democratic Coalition (NADECO).
He was born in1933. Durojaiye was a legal practitioner and worked for 35 years in the public sector.
He was a Director in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as well as the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Plc.
Durojaiye’s wife, Helen Olufunso Adejoke, died on June 6, 2009.
