A former Nigerian minister for internal affairs and commerce, Senator Bello Maitama Yusuf, is dead.
Details about his death is still sketchy at the moment but reliable sources confirmed that he has passed away at 78.
Senator Yusuf represented the Jigawa South West constituency as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, first elected in April 1999 and subsequently reelected in April 2003.
