A tragic multiple accident in Osun State has claimed the lives four persons, leaving 20 others injured.
Osun Defender gathered that the accident occurred at Ikeji-Arakeji along Osun/Ondo road in Ori-Ade Local Government Area of the State.
The accident which involved three vehicles – two buses and a truck – was attributed to overspeeding and careless driving.
A viral video obtained by the medium showed one of the buses catching fire, with passengers, including two corps members, lying injured on the ground. Witnesses and commuters in the area were seen wailing in distress.

Confirming the incident, the Osun State Commandant of the Federal Road Safety Commission(FRSC), Taofeek Sokunbi, blamed the accident on over speeding and careless driving.

He said: “The accident occurred three days ago. Four people died and twenty people were injured. The accident occurred when there was a speed breaker.
“I want to urge drivers to drive carefully on the road because the accident was caused by over speeding. The accident was caused by carelessness on the part of the driver.“
