Osun State Police Command has arraigned one man Okeleye Wale, 34, before an Osogbo Magisterate Court over alleged stealing of cables
The suspect was docked on Tuesday September 5, 2018, over alleged stealing of cable wire worth N700,000, sliding windows worth N800,000, six sets of air conditioner worth N510,000 and pumping machine worth N60,000 from one Timothy Ayodele.
The prosecutor, Inspector Jafani Muslim explained that Musa Ado 18, Jubril Abdullahi 28, and Awalu Muhammed 18, received the stolen properties from him and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 427 of criminal code Cap 34 Vol.11 Laws of Osun State Nigeria 2003.
He added that the accused persons committed the offence on Aug 10, 2018 at Lakanye Estate, Osogbo at about 11:30 pm
He further said that the offence committed is contrary to section 383 and punishable under sections 390 (9) of Criminal Code Cap 34 VOL.II laws of Osun States of Nigeria 2003.
The accused person pleaded not guilty
The Presiding Magistrate, Fatimoh Sodamade granted the accused bail in the sum of N500,000 with one surety, adding that the surety should swear to an affidavit of means.
She added that the second, third and fourth accused persons should get written recommendations from the leader of Hausa Community in the state capital.
The case was adjourned to October 3 ,2018 for mention.
