A bloody street brawl between suspected rival cult groups on Friday led to the death of one person at Asoje area Osogbo, capital of the State of Osun.
It was gathered that the deceased also belonged to another cult group that engaged themselves in supremacy gun battle in the street.
Osun Police spokesperson, ASP Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident in a press statement on Friday.
She disclosed that the deceased is identified as Babalola Lekan 35 years of no. 25 Johnmakay street Oluode area of Osogbo was shot dead.
As of the time of filing this report, the corpse of the deceased had been taken to a morgue at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital while the perpetrators are yet to be apprehended.
She added that the police is on the trail of the cultists.
