FRSC To Spend N870 Million On New Duplexes For Deputy Corps Marshals
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has earmarked N870 million in its 2025 proposed budget to acquire two five-bedroom duplexes for Deputy Corps Marshals in Abuja.
Each duplex is estimated to cost N435 million, according to the budget details.
In contrast, the FRSC plans to spend N690 million to construct three command offices in Kisi, Ibeti, and Jega, with each building projected at N220 million.
Additionally, N200 million is budgeted for the rehabilitation of the agency’s offices in Benin and Bauchi.

The budget also includes N8 million for the purchase of a complete public address system for the FRSC ICT hall and N94.5 million to provide solar energy for zonal offices in Yola, Kaduna, and Oshogbo.
These allocations come amid growing concerns over Nigeria’s rising debt servicing costs.
Between 2025 and 2027, the government plans to spend N50.2 trillion on debt servicing, with N15.3 trillion allocated for 2025 alone.
Despite assurances of financial prudence, critics question the government’s commitment to fiscal responsibility.
