Fubara Swears In Five Special Advisers
Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has sworn in five newly appointed Special Advisers, saying the move reflects his administration’s determination to press ahead and recover lost ground.
The governor performed the swearing-in ceremony on Friday at the Government House.
He said his administration possessed the resilience required to deliver on its mandate despite recent challenges.
Fubara explained that the appointments were aimed at strengthening governance and ensuring the smooth running of government.
According to him, the new advisers are not strangers to public service and already understand the philosophy and objectives of his administration.
He noted that their prior experience would remove delays in performance assessment and help achieve set goals without hesitation.
The governor urged the appointees to discharge their duties with a strong sense of responsibility.
He warned that the appointments should not be viewed as a reward or privilege but as a call to dedicated service.
Fubara said they had previously distinguished themselves in public office and expressed confidence that they would repeat such performance in their new roles.
He charged them not to disappoint the government and the people of Rivers State as they set to work to fulfil the administration’s social contract with citizens.
