General Elections : INEC Announces Date For Mock Voter Accreditation In Osun

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Osun has announced that it will conduct mock accreditation of eligible voters in the three senatorial districts of the State.

This was revealed in a press statement by Osun INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Mutiu Agboke on Monday, who stated that the mock accreditation exercise would come up on Saturday, February 4, 2023.

According to him, “This is to inform the general public that the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in preparation for a hitch free 2023 general election in Osun State will be conducting Mock Accreditation of eligible voters on Saturday 4 February, 2023 in six (6) Local Government Areas of the State, two (2) Registration Areas/Wards across the Three (3) Senatorial Districts.”

Agboke also disclosed that the exercise would enable the commission to analyse the performance of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) before the general elections.

While calling on the electorates to come for their PVCs, he maintained that during the 2023 general elections, the people’s vote would count and the winner would be the choice of the electorate.

Agboke also assured that the 2023 general elections would not be cancelled or postponed.
