Gernot Rohr Names Ahmed Musa New Captain For Super Eagles Friendlies

Leicester City Nigerian forward Ahmed Musa has been named as the new captain of the eagles in the two friendlies against Senegal and Burkina Faso scheduled to be played in London in March 2017.

Since the real captain of the team John Obi Mikel has opted out of the two games, super eagles handler Gernot Rohr has now named Musa as the player to wear the skipper’s band against the two African sides.

”Ahmed Musa is one of the senior players in my team, and we have to respect that by giving him the deserved position,” Gernot Rohr explained.

This season in the Premier League, Ahmed Musa has fallen out of favor at Leicester City and the former CSKA Moscow forward was alleged to be part of the players who masterminded the exit of former Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri.

But his turbulence continues as interim manager Craig Shakespeare has not selected him in his two games in charge since the exit of Claudio Ranieri.
