Education,it has been observed, is one of the cardinal programmes of the present administration, which Governor Adeleke will pursue with all tenacity.
The Osun SUBEB Executive Secretary, Mr Yahaya Bakare stated this while hosting the Executive members of the Nigeria Union of Teachers NUT, Osun Chapter in his office on Wednesday, in Osogbo.
Mr Bakare said all hands must be on deck to ensure that the desired educational goal and objectives of the present administration, under the leadership of Governor Adeleke are achieved.
Mr Bakare admonished them to join hands together with the present administration in its quest to revamp the state education system in order to put the sector on the right track.
The Osun SUBEB Scribe, while appreciating the NUT executive members for the visit, said the narrative of the state educational status must begin to change for the better,saying that school pupils, at the basic level, must be able to read fluently and write legibly in order to establish solid education foundation for the learners.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman Nigeria Union of Teachers, Osun Chapter, Comrade Muritala Fatade Olatoke, on behalf of the Exco members, congratulated the Osun SUBEB Executive Secretary on his appointment, describing it as putting the right peg in the right hole.
The NUT Chairman then gave the assurance that they are ready to give maximum support to the present administration, and will not relent in their efforts at working assiduously for the State educational development, at the basic level,in order to lay a solid foundation for the future leaders.
