Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun state on Sunday inspected the State Government Hospital, Asubiaro, Osogbo.
While inspecting the facilities at the government-owned hospital, the Governor promised to upgrade the government hospital and rehabilitate public health centres in the state.
It would be recalled that in December 2018, Oyetola constituted a six-man committee to oversee the activities in the health sector of the state with the Governor as the Chairman of the committee named, State of Osun Special Health Intervention and Revitalization Committee.
Members of the committee are former Commissioner for Health, Dr Rafiu Isamotu; Dr Simeon Afolayan, Professor Adeyinka Aderinto, former Commissioner for Science and Technology, Remi Omowaiye; and former Commissioner for Finance, Bola Oyebamiji.
The Governor had promised to rehabilitate the 332 primary health centres in the state to make life easier for the people of the state.
Oyetola on Sunday tweeted via his Official Twitter Handle (@GboyegaOyetola), “Earlier today I took time to inspect the state government hospital at Asubiaro, Oshogbo. By the grace of God, we shall overhaul this hospital for use of our good people.
We are already making moves to rehabilitate all our public health centres in the state.”
