Chairman, Ife Central West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Barrister Bisi Oladosu hinted that the grading of roads within the LCDA will soon commence.
He gave the assurance at the monthly meeting of the council’s Community Development Committee (CDC) held on Tuesday, December 11 with the chairman of the CDC, Mr. Awominure Idowu, the DPO of Ife Central police command, politicians and eminent people in attendance.
Addressing the gathering, the council boss said that his administration is committed to the development of the council, just as he pleaded for the support of the people of the council area.
The chairman then tendered an apology on behalf of all politicians who could not attend the meeting, saying that adequate reminder should be given to them prior to subsequent meetings.
The chairman of the CDC, Mr. Awominure emphasized the need for the people of the community to register and cooperate with the council with a view to guaranteeing development.
He also informed members of the CDC about the new development in the council, particularly the newly appointed Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. John Olatunji Owojori.
Also, the Ife Central Divisional Police Officer, Mr Babatunde Shodimu in his address informed the people that the security of the communities is everybody’s business.
He encouraged people to have mutual relationship with their neighbours and report anybody with strange or dubious character to the police.
The next meeting of the CDC will hold in January 2019.
