Group Congratulates Najeem Salaam on Emergence as ADC Flag Bearer For Osun Election
- Promises To Mobilise 50,000 Votes For ADC Candidate
The ADC Coalition Support Network has congratulated Dr. Najeem Salaam on his emergence as the flag bearer of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State.
In a statement issued over the weekend, the group described Salaam’s emergence as well-deserved, citing his proven Omoluabi record, integrity, competence and longstanding commitment to public service as qualities that distinguish him as a credible alternative for Osun people.
The Network noted that Salaam’s political journey has been defined by humility, transparency, people-centred leadership and loyalty to progressive ideals, adding that these virtues align with the core values of the ADC.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the Osun State Coordinator of the ADC Coalition Support Network, Comrade Omotosho Mathew, said the organisation is fully mobilised to support the party’s flag bearer ahead of the August 8, 2026 governorship election.
According to him, the group has directed all its Local Government Coordinators, Ward Coordinators and Unit Coordinators across the state to immediately commence grassroots mobilisation and voter engagement to ensure widespread acceptance of the ADC.
“We have resolved to work tirelessly and strategically to deliver a minimum of 50,000 votes for the ADC in the forthcoming election. Our members are already embedded in communities, and the mobilisation drive has begun in earnest,” the statement read.
The Coordinator further assured that the ADC Coalition Support Network would deploy door-to-door campaigns, town hall engagements and youth mobilisation strategies to strengthen the party’s presence across Osun State.
The group called on party members, supporters and well-meaning citizens to rally behind Najeem Salaam, describing his candidacy as a fresh opportunity for good governance, accountability, and people-oriented leadership in Osun State.
