According to him, series of innovative ideas like OMEAL, Opon Imo, increase in the grant to schools, distribution of uniform to pupils, motivation of teachers and construction of state-of-art school building at all level have paid off.
“Due to the impact made in the sector, Aregbesola’s administration has won many awards at home and abroad and placed Osun on the world map as a state with tremendous progress in the development of education.
“Osun people will forever be grateful to Aregbesola’s administration for the progress it has made in the education sector.
“The appointments of Omotunde Kola-Young as the commissioner for education and those who have been instrumental to the development of the sector have assisted the government to record a huge success in the sector”, Abagun stressed.
He then urged the people not to be deceived by antics of those who are desperate to take over mantle of leadership from Aregbesola and destroyed the legacies he has built.
He said, the only alternative to the continuity of developmental strides of Aregbesola is to support Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who is ready to build on the current development.
