Gunmen Attack Osun Amotekun Boss
The Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, Adekunle Omoyele, on Monday night narrowly escaped an assassination attempt after he was reportedly attacked by armed gunmen.
According to a statement by Osun Amotekun spokesperson, Yusuf Idowu, the unknown gunmen attacked Omoyele after the close of duty around 10 p.m.
The statement said the Amotekun boss sustained injuries with his car riddled with bullets.

Omoyele has since been admitted into an undisclosed hospital, according to the statement.
“I had left the office for home. When I got to Kobo, some armed men suddenly in a moving vehicle double side by side with my car and started firing. Their faces were covered, and before I could react, they opened fire on my vehicle. Bullets riddled the car. I didn’t stop. I kept driving on. I was hit, but I managed to escape,” the statement quoted Omoyele as saying.
