Gunmen Attack Zamfara Hajj Commission Chair Residence, Kill Son, Aide, Abduct Others
Gunmen in the early hours of Thursday reportedly, attacked the residence of the Chairman of the Zamfara State Haji Commission (ZSHC), Alhaji Musa Malaha in Gusau, the state capital, killing one of his sons, Abdulmunaf, and his gateman.
The hoodlums were also said to have abducted another of his sons, Mu’awiyya Lawali.
The bandits were also said to have abducted other residents in the area, although they are yet to demand ransom.
It was gathered that the bandits attempted to kidnap the ZSHC chairman but failed.

A resident, Ishiaku Umaru, explained that the terrorists stormed the chairman’s residence in the early hours of Thursday and started shooting sporadically.
“The shootings woke us up as everyone in the area started running helter-skelter. Nobody can exactly say how many people were killed or kidnapped.
“But it was certain that one of the chairman’s sons and his watchman were killed while another of his sons was kidnapped,” the resident said.
He explained that most of the kidnap victims are mainly women and children.
