Gunmen Invade Finance Ministry Lafia, Cart-Away N100m

Unknown gunmen suspected to be armed robbers have invaded the Nasarawa State Ministry of Finance, Budget and Planning, Lafia.

The Commissioner of the ministry, Mr Haruna Ogbole, who confirmed the robbery incident on Thursday said investigation is ongoing.

According to the report, the robbers cartered away N100 million after trailing officials of the ministry who went to withdraw the cash from a commercial bank to pay casual workers.

The office is adjacent to that of the State Accountant General, where there are many security personnel.
