Gunmen Kidnap 10 Travellers Along Bonny-Port Harcourt

Unknown gunmen suspected to be sea pirates have abducted no fewer than 10 travellers along the Bonny-Port Harcourt waterway.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday.

The Chairman, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria, Rivers State District, Israel Pepple, while confirming the incident.

“It is not a rumour, it is real. Ten persons have been kidnapped this morning coming from Bonny to Port Harcourt. We’ve reported to the security agencies.”

The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, said he had yet to be briefed on the matter but promised to revert with more information.
