The ongoing attacks on security agencies in the South South and South East Region of the country are rapidly taking unexpected dimensions.
Four soldiers that were attached to an oil company named Starling Global ltd, as escort were reported killed on Sunday by suspected gunmen believed to be members of the Indigenous People Of Biafran (IPOB), in a community in Rivers State, while on escort duty.
Reports have it that the attack was carried out in an hotel named Edibe Hotel, in Abua-Odual Local Government Area of the State.
Investigation revealed that the four soldiers were men of the 16 Brigade Garrison, 6 Division, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
At the incident, One sustained various degrees of wounds from gun shots while five rifles and a pick up truck belonging to Nigerian Army were taken away by the gunmen
Despite all efforts to hear from the spokesman of the 6 Division, Major Charles Ekeocha and the company on the incident, none has been able to respond to call and test messages from Journalists as the Chief Security Officer of the company is still missing.
