Unknown gunmen suspected to be assassins have killed a Fulani leader, Alhaji Abdullahi Hardo Buruku popularly known as Alhaji Malam, in Lamba town, Asa LGA of Kwara state.
It was gathered that the gunmen stormed the town around 12mid night on Wednesday, shooting in the air.
“They shot him on the spot. We heard gunshots all over,” a resident told Daily Trust.
Also one of the sisters of the deceased, Aina’u Hardo Buruku, confirmed the incident on Wednesday.
She said the gunmen met the victim in his bedroom and murdered him.
Until his death, the deceased was the chairman, Gan Allah Fulani Development Association of Nigeria, Kwara state branch.
