Gunmen have killed two security guards in separate attacks in Ikare Akoko, Akoko north-east LGA of Ondo state.
The guards were said to have been killed by gunmen during attacks on the Mimiko market and NASFAT school, respectively, on Saturday.
Funmilayo Odunlami, Ondo police spokesperson, confirmed the incident to newsmen.
She said investigation into the incident has commenced.
According to her,“There was a call that informed the police that two people were killed. It’s actually in two different places, but the two people were actually security guards.
“Investigation has started, so that we can actually know what really happened.”
In recent months, there have been series of attacks by gunmen in the state.
