Gunshots Battle As EFCC Operatives, Kogi Gov Security Fight Over Attempt To Arrest Yahaya Bello (Video)

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday night attempted to arrest former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello at the Kogi State Governor’s lodge in the Asokoro District in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The EFCC operatives were said to have shot severally when they arrived at the lodge.

However, they were said to have been resisted by security operatives at the governor’s lodge which immediately led to an altercation.

Incumbent Kogi governor Ahmed Ododo reportedly whisked his predecessor away.

Osun Defender reports that controversies surrounded the arrest of Bello in the early hours of Wednesday.

While Bello’s people are saying that the former governor was at the EFCC office but was not interrogated , the EFCC said Bello was was not with them and that the ex-governor remains wanted “for alleged N80.2billion money laundering charges”.
