Gunshots As Another Rivers LG Secretariat Set On Fire (Video)

The Ikwere Local Government secratiat in Rivers State has been set on fire. 

In a video circulating online, a voice was heard alleging that the Governor of the state, Siminalayi Fubara sent his thugs to set the place on fire and shoot people.

This was coming after fire razed a section of the Eleme Local Government Council secretariat in the state.

Osun Defender reports that the newly elected chairman of the local government, Brain Gokpa, was said to have arrived the came council secretariat accompanied by his councilors and supporters but discovered that a few of the buildings in the council had been set ablaze.

The fire was reportedly caused by an explosion from a device suspected to be dynamite.

In Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA protesters invaded the council headquarters in Omoku, not allowing the newly sworn-in chairman to resume office.
