GWR Read-A-Thon: All Eyes On Ajao As He Nears Replacing Current Title Holder
Followers of the ongoing Guinness World Records Read-A-Thon are waiting with keen spirits and optimism as they watch Samson Ajao push through the last hours to complete the challenge and write his name in indelible ink.
OSUN DEFENDER reports that Ajao aims to break the Record for the longest marathon reading aloud.
He started the journey on Monday, May 6th, 2024, at Adolak Hotel’s Conference hall in Osogbo, Osun state capital.
Since the commencement of the challenge, Ajao, the Osun hero, has proven to the world that with resilience, no mountain is insurmountable, fighting fatigue and tiredness to stay on track.

Also, important personalities in Osun State have been thronging the venue of the event throwing their weight behind him and equally showing their support and solidarity as he journeys on.
As of the time of filling this report, Ajao has completed 123 hours out of the 124 of the last holder of the title.
He is 1 hour away from reaching the existing record of 124 hours of non-stop reading aloud.
The current holder, Rysbai Isakov from Bursa, Turkey completed a 124-hour Read-a-thon in September 2022.
