In a viral interview circulating on social media, a woman emotionally recounted how chaos unfolded, leading to the deaths of seven children and three adults, with several others injured.
The woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, painted a grim picture of the stampede, describing how people were trampled in a desperate attempt to secure food.
“Everybody needs food. Every Nigerian needs food. We need help. Come and see a lot of people that died. When they opened the gate, everybody rushed, and they started matching themselves. Some fell down, and they matched themselves till they died. The ones I saw are even more than 10,” she said with visible distress.

According to her, the victims included women and children, some of whom she personally knew. “Even the woman I know died,” she added, struggling to hold back tears.
The stampede reportedly began when the church gates were opened to a large crowd of people who had gathered in anticipation of the distribution.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with organizers overwhelmed by the sheer number of people desperate to access the relief materials
