Headmaster Arrested For Selling School Furniture

The Headmaster of Gaidar Makada Special Primary School in Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano has been arrested by the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) for allegedly selling the school asset.

This was contained in a statement by the spokesperson of the commission, Kabir Abba Kabir, dated Saturday.

He said the arrest followed the discovery of a disturbing scheme involving the illicit sale of vital school assets.

He said that the commision was investigating the issue, and efforts were being put to recover the assets.

Kabir said, โ€œAn investigation uncovered that critical items including metal fixtures, benches, and furniture had mysteriously disappeared from the school,โ€ the statement read.

โ€œSuspicion fell on the headmaster, whose questionable activities were previously flagged during discussions with the SBMC and PTA Chairmen.

โ€œToday, August 31, 2024, the thefts were officially reported, prompting swift action from PCACC.
