Heavy Security As Osun Residents Await Supreme Court Judgment

There is heavy deployment of security agents in strategic locations in Osogbo, capital of Osun State ahead of today’s judgment of the Supreme Court on the July 16, 2022 governorship election.

OSUN DEFENDER who went round the metropolis on Tuesday morning observed the deployment of special teams of the police to important locations, to forestall possible breakdown of law and order after the apex court’s verdict.

Among the locations with security presence are the popular Ayetoro Junction, Oke-Fia roundabout, Olaiya junction, the PDP secretariat, the APC secretariat, former Governor Gboyega Oyetola and Governor Ademola Adeleke’s campaign offices, Dele Yes Sir, Dada Estate, among others.

As of 10am this morning, residents of the town who plied the junctions praised efforts of the security agencies to guaranteeing the safety of lives and property.

Mr. Jide Agunbiade and Mrs Alake Adebayo who spoke to the medium urged political gladiators to eschew violence whichever way the verdict of the Supreme Court goes.
