Two motorcycles were reportedly stolen on Saturday, during Taraweeh prayers at Paso central mosque in Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT.
The incident was confirmed by a resident of Paso, Mukail Abdulsalam.
The source noted that the incident happened on Saturday around 8:29 pm when Muslims were observing Taraweeh prayers at the village’s central mosque.
He said suspected motorcycle thieves forcefully destroyed the keys of the motorcycles and went away with them.
The owners of the two motorcycles, Lawali and Dahiru, according to the source, raised an alarm when they came out of the mosque and could not find the motorcycles where they were parked.
“Since the commencement of Ramadan, the owners of the motorcycles usually come with them to the mosque for the congregational Taraweeh prayers at the central mosque, until on Saturday, after the prayers when they raised the alarm that their motorcycles were missing,” he said.
A member of the vigilante in the area who preferred anonymity confirmed that two motorcycles were missing during Taraweeh prayers in the area on Saturday, saying the vigilantes were making efforts to recover them.
