Osun State Hospitals’ Premises and Staff Quarters in Ede had been vandalized by some unknown hoodlums.
The hoodlums, suspected to be armed robbers stormed the hospital premises in the early hours of Sunday, April 29 and attack the hospital.
Reacting to the incidence, the Permanent Secretary, Hospitals’ Management Board (HMB), Mr. Dayo Olaluwoye condemned the act during his official visit to the scene, to sympathize with the victims.
He described the armed robbers’ action as absurd and tantamount to madness, saying it is only insane people that would come to where the sick are being taken care of and rob them of their valuables.
Saying the incident was quite abnormal, he assured the affected staff member and patients that urgent steps would be taken in the matter.
