Osun state police command has arraigned a 30 year-old man, Bamidele Folorunso before an Osogbo magistrate court over alleged house breaking and stealing.
The charge sheet read in the court revealed that the suspect entered the dwelling house of Toyin Adeyemo with intent to commit felony therein.
It added that the suspect carted away the following items; one lenovo tablet phone valued N200,000, HP laptop valued N150,000, one tecno phone valued N4,500, jewelries worth N84,600, some clothes including six wrappers, properties of Toyin Adeyemo.
The offence committed, the charge sheet disclosed is contrary to and punishable under section 390(9) of criminal code cap 34 vol.11 law of Osun state of Nigeria, 2003.
According to the charge sheet, the suspect committed the offence at 14, Barrister Ajibola street, behind Ilesa Garage on March 1, 2018.
However, the suspect pleaded not guilty to the three count charges preferred against him.
The defence counsel, Mr. Okobe Najite prayed to court to grant the suspect bail and assured the court that they will not abuse the privileged of the bail if granted.
The prosecutor, inspector Olayiwola Rasaq opposed the bail application. He stressed that the accused person evaded arrest before, leaving the force with no choice but to arrest his wife and arraigned her in the magistrate court in order for him to show up but all in vain until he was now arrested.
He added that if the suspect was granted bail, he will surely abuse it by running away again.
Presiding Magistrate, Mr. O.A Ayilara ordered that the suspect should be remanded in prison custody.
He later adjourned the case to December 24, 2018 for hearing.
