House Wife Arraigned For Allegedly Stabbing Pastor

A housewife, Esther Olamide has been arraigned before an Ile-Ife Magistrate Court for allegedly stabbing a Pastor, Kayode Oluwawemimo who is her co-tenant in Moremi area of Ile-Ife.

According to the Police prosecutor, the suspect,  on May 13 at No 11 Moremi Line 4 at around 5p.m breaks into the room of One Kayode Oluwawemimo and stabbed him with broke bottle.

The charge also stated that the accused person breached the public peace with her conduct and also intruded into the privacy of the victim.

While at the dock the accused person, Esther pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against her.

The medium investigation at the neighbourhood revealed that Esther Olajide who resided at No 11, Moremi line 4 is a contentious woman, according to her landlord Mr Adeniji Adetinkan.

He stated that on the fateful day, when the accused person stabbed the co-resident in his house, he waded into the disagreement between the wife of the victim and the suspect, all to no avail.

Mr Adetinkan said that other tenant in the neighbourhood try to make peaceful settlement, but the accused broke into the apartment of the victim and stabbed him, which made him to incident the matter at the Division C police station Aganhun.

While ruling on the matter the Chief Magistrate Ijiyode I. granted the accused person bail in the sum of N200,000 and two sureties in the same amount.

The case was adjourned till June 6, 2018 for hearing.
