How Boy Stabs Friend To Death Over Mobile Phone

The Niger State Police Command has arrested one Mohammed Isah for allegedly stabbing his friend, Nurudeen Nuhu to death.

A dispute was said to have ensued between the two friends over a mobile phone.

The incident occurred in the abattoir area of Kwata Tayi village, Minna, on Sunday morning.

The two friends, according to reports, engaged in a physical altercation over a mobile phone, during which Isah allegedly stabbed Nuhu in the stomach with a knife.

After being stabbed, Nuhu collapsed and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Niger State Command, Wasiu Abiodun, said Mohammed Isah has been arrested and that a preliminary investigation is ongoing.

“It was reported at GRA Division that there was a fight between one Mohammed Isah of Angwan-Biri and Nurudeen Nuhu of Angwan-Daji at the abattoir area, Kwata Tayi village, over a handset issue.

“During the fight, Mohammed Isah allegedly stabbed Nurudeen with a knife in the stomach.

“Police operatives attached to the Division moved to the scene and rushed the victim to the General Hospital, where he gave up the ghost and was confirmed dead,” Abiodun stated.

He added, “He will soon be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and prosecution.”
