Five players among the team of a grassroot football club, Oyintiloye FC pioneered and nurtured by Honourable Olatunbosun Oyintiloye representing Obokun State Constituency have received invitation for trials outside the shore of the country.
Aside the five players, Adebayo Jeleel, Ayeni Akinlolu, Arije Taofeeq, Adejorin Niyi, Oyeniyi Gbenga whose trail destination is Vietman, two others, Adebayo Saheed and Agboola Ganiyu are scaling up their game into Osun United , the state-owned club.
Oyintiloye FC, a grassroots football club based in Ibokun, the headquarters of Obokun local government area of Osun state was established six years ago and through inspiration of the proprietor, Honourable Olatubosun Oyintiloye, diligent and hardwork on the part of the team, the club had won several titles and honours at the grassroots and the state levels.
It was named 3rd best in Osun state a couple of weeks ago as a team with enormous potential and prospect for the future.
Speaking on the development, Honourable Oyintiloye pointed out that the bottom line of grassroots sport development was to create opportunity for young ones, engaged them meaningfully, enabled them discover themselves, develop their God given potentials and ultimately give them sufficient exposure so they can rise to national and international recognition.
Oyintiloye who expressed delight on the development pointed out that it was in tandem with his vision and promise to all young people in his constituency to provide platform through which they could rise to stardom both at National and more importantly at the international arena.
“I want them to rise to stardom, that’s the reason I created the platform, I am committed to enlarging platform of opportunities for youths.
“I must add that the case of the five footballers invited to Australia from my football club, Oyintiloye FC is a robust testament of my commitment to this ideal, its exciting, heart-warming and encouraging.
The lawmaker who expressed fervent confidence that the beneficiaries of the development, would put Obokun, Osun state and Nigeria on the global map of football fame affirmed that sports development, youth empowerment would continue to enjoy his attention even as he sought second term to represent the people of Obokun in the state parliament.
Soliciting the support of Obokun people for his re-election into the state assembly, Honourable Oyintiloye assured that better things are in stock for the people of the constituency.
The Coach, Oyintiloye FC, Adebayo Ismail pointed that the development would continue to inspire all team mates to continue to find new frontier and bring joy to the people and the sponsor, whom he described as a pillar for youths and community development in the state.
The lucky players expressed absolute confidence that they would give their best shot to the opportunity and be a good ambassador of the state and the nation at large.
Also they expressed desire to represent Nigeria in the national team in the nearest future.
